How it works

Set it up in five minutes. Talk about it for months.

Parents set the game

Pick the name game or the birthday game, the grid size, the price per square and how much goes to the 529. Then share one link.

Everyone grabs squares

Family and friends pick their squares from any phone. Grab one or a handful, before Grandma buys a whole row.

The big reveal

When the baby arrives, squares drop away live until one is left. The winner takes the prize and the bragging rights, and everyone gets a keepsake card.

Two games

Guess the name, or guess the moment.

The name game

A name for every square

The list
Parents add names, with the real one hiding inside. Or start from popular, classic or less common.
The draw
Once squares sell out, names land on them one by one, live.
The reveal
The parents’ final few light up, then drop one at a time until only the chosen name remains.

The squares
Each day around the due date splits into 6-hour, 8-hour or AM/PM windows.
Surprises
“Earlier” and “Later” squares catch a baby with other plans.
The reveal
A clock runs forward and squares drop as their time passes, until the birth lands.

Where the money goes

Fun for the guests. A head start for the baby.

  • Parents choose the split: anywhere from half to all of it goes to the baby’s 529.
  • Guests pay the parents directly. Little Squares doesn’t take a cut.
  • If nobody holds the winning square, the whole pot goes to the baby’s fund.
